Making a Portrait
1) Choose a favorite photograph, take a new one, or hire a photographer to take a
picture for you. The best kind of photo is a close-up shot of your pet. Ideally, the
animal should be looking directly into the camera. If you're taking new pictures, here
are some tips. Strive for crisp detail and color. Use natural light, shooting outside or
inside near a window. Keep the background simple. If you're having trouble getting
a good expression from your pet, try using toys or ask a friend to help.
2) Think about the size of your portrait and the room you'd like to put it in. Paintings range from approximately 18"-35" wide.
3) Send us a traditional photographic print or a large digital image along with a 50% deposit. When we receive your photo and deposit my business associate Ann will
contact you to tell you I'm starting the painting.
4) Your portrait will be completed 3-6 weeks later. We'll call you to arrange delivery.
